Last Day of 1st Grade

Liam's 1st grade class gave a little performance to the parents. Liam played Fox in a Winnie the Pooh skit. Maybe I am biased but I thought Liam did a great job reading the script and acting out the part. Liam's reading has improved so much this year, I feel very grateful to his teacher. She seems to be able to get all of her students to enjoy reading and they're all doing quite well. This evening some of the moms took the teacher and the aide out to Il Fornaio for dinner. It was fun to get to know them (late but better than never) and have a ladies night out as well.

Goldilocks' visit

We had a group meeting in the house today and had Su Hong delivered. It was more relaxing than being in a restaurant and we also celebrated with Gary on his new baby (due in July).

When Liam and I arrived home later, Kieran told us Goldilocks visited pointing to the mess she left behind. Unfortunately Goldilocks left her camera behind.

Ebay. Sale!

I've bought a bit of stuff every now and again on EBay. But last night I had my first sale (this link will work for a few weeks at least). It sold in a couple of hours for the Buy It Now price. Doh! I must have priced it to low.

Ebay makes good money on this. $2.40 listing fee, 25c to have Buy It Now enabled, $4.31 as the sales fee and possibly 3% of the sales price from paypal (a subsidary) depending on how the buyer pays. No wonder, ex-General Magic developer support guy, Pierre is rich - at least he seems to appreciate and do some good with his cash.
