"The Big Attack"

We have a "handy-man" doing some work around the house; replacing some tiles in the old bathroom, etc. Well, today while he was inside he noticed someone scavenging through my car in the driveway. So he ran outside and chased him down the street, calling for help from someone from the phone company who was working down the road. They cornered him and called the police.

Turns out there have been some minor robberies around the neighbourhood in the last while and the kid they caught has been in trouble a bunch of times before.

I got my bag of quarters back.

Max Kennedy

My sister had her 3rd(!) child during the week. Baby Max, joins Jack and Alex. All are doing well, but it appears she might have a screamer!

Front Office

Almost 3 months after we moved back into the house, we have finally moved back into the front office / TV Room / Family Room. This is the room where we discovered termites. It took some time to figure out what to do, then patch the walls up, then I painted the walls, then we had the hardwood floors replaced.

But we back, and its good to watch movies on the TV rather than the laptop display, and to feel the desk I'm typing on shake to the sound from the film :-)

As a side effect of finishing this room, we got to tidy up the guest room and it is now ready for visitors.

Min Yu Tham, 1931 - 2006

Cynthia's Dad passed away on February 23 after a 5 year fight against cancer. The end came quite suddenly, but it was a blessing in a way since he died without a lot of pain and suffering. The funeral was held last weekend.

We all miss him a lot.
